A NOTE TO WISE COUNTY
Friends and Neighbors,
I am excited to announce that I am seeking re-election as Wise County Judge. I humbly ask for your support and your vote so that we can continue working together to honor our past and build our future in Wise County. During my service as county judge, we have built a strong county record of fiscally conservative budgets; tax rate cuts; debt reduction; increased investments in public safety; infrastructure investment and advocacy; growth planning and management; a thriving local economy; transparent communication; responsible, limited local government that reflects and represents our community values and priorities; and close, productive collaboration with business, intergovernmental, and community partners.
While we have done great work, our work is not complete. We must continue to diligently plan for and manage our county growth in a proactive rather than reactive way. We must be efficient and effective in how we prepare for and respond to growth demands on important county services and infrastructure. We must overhaul and upgrade our county’s public safety radio system that is critical for communication between our law enforcement, fire, and EMS agencies. We must continue to push for important TxDOT and road/bridge projects that are crucial to safety and transportation as our population grows. We must ensure that our county’s history is protected, preserved, and passed on to future generations by restoring our iconic courthouse and working with our state and county historical commissions. Above all, we must continue to ensure that Wise County remains an incredible place to live, work, worship, and raise a family where Constitutional rights are protected, revered, and upheld.
I am a strong, tireless, and effective advocate for Wise County at the local, regional, state, and federal levels, and I am a man of my word. Leah and I both trace our family roots in Wise County back to the 1800s, and now we are raising our three girls here. Wise County is our past, present, and future. I am fully committed to this Wise County community with every fiber of my heart and soul, and I am ready to keep working to ensure that this is the greatest county in the great state of Texas.
Thank you for your continued support and the opportunity to serve our community. Please help spread the word and share the good work we are doing here in Wise County. I would appreciate your support and your vote in the 2022 Republican primary and then in the general election. Let’s keep working together. May God bless us all!
In service,
J.D. Clark
Wise County Judge
